This summer I’ve stopped waking up to an alarm clock. The abrupt loud ring of the least jarring tune is still a harsh wake-up call for me. So I’ve slept with the blinds drawn and somehow my body has learned to wake up about half an hour after the sunrises. Today I beat the sunrise and in a drowsy haze I woke up to see the sky look like this –
I nearly turned around and went right back to sleep but then I thought to myself how often do I get to see a sunrise this pretty in my life? Not nearly enough.
